First Widespread Freeze in Central Texas - 04/08/14

Temperatures were quite mild for Veterans Day.  However, don't expect the same tomorrow.  A Canadian cold front, bringing snow and single digit temperatures across the Northern Plains, will dive south, carrying with it freezing temperatures for Central Texas!

The cold front will move through Tuesday morning.  Therefore, temperatures will be mild in the morning , but behind the cold front, temperatures will plummet.
Across Central Texas, temperatures will fall throughout the day on Tuesday, into the low to mid-30s early Wednesday morning and again on Thursday morning, especially in the Hill Country where temperatures are expected to fall below freezing for a few hours early Wednesday morning!

In addition to the cold temperatures, behind the front on Tuesday, winds will pick up 10-20mph.  That means our wind chill or feels like temperatures will be 5-10 degrees below what the air temperatures is! Burr!

Even though, no freeze watches or warning have been issued yet, it's time to planning to keep you and your property safe by taking care of any tender vegetation and pets.
Remember the 3 Ps: Pets, plants, and pipes!
