Heavy Rain and Storms - 07/27/13
The storms that moved through late Friday night into early Saturday morning dumped more than 2" on some parts of the Austin area. And what a lightning show! Have a great Saturday and enjoy the slightly cooler temps!
We didn't have any severe t-storm warnings, but we did have some strong storms late Friday night/early Saturday morning.
*12:19 AM " ABIA had a wind gust of 59 mph
*Elgin reported some Street Flooding
*Elgin also reported a lightning strike knocked out the 911 center there
*Austin Energy reported just over 2000 customers without power at 1:30AM
*Flood Advisories were issued for parts of Williamson, Travis, Lee, Bastrop, & Hays counties
*ATXFloods.com did not report any low water crossing closures
*Rain totals more than 2 estimated by radar and confirmed by LCRA gauges.
