Spotty Showers - 08/26/13
Monday, August 26th, 2013
Despite a tropical wave moving onshore and lots moisture along the coast, it has been a struggle to get showers to reach the I-35 corridor! Only spotty light rain pushed in through late Monday afternoon, and some areas stayed dry. We'll keep a 30% chance of showers overnight and again Tuesday. Some areas could pick up 1/4" with the most likely rain Tuesday south and west of Austin. At least it cooled us down a little! Monday's high was just 92 at Camp Mabry - and Tuesday we'll be in the low to mid 90s. After that, we'll be heading back to hot and dry. Wednesday we could reach triple digits for the 34th time this year, with triple digits continuing through Labor Day Weekend.
Maybe if we all wash our cars it will rain! Hope the first day back to school was a good one for everyone!
