Bye Bye Polar Vortex. Hello Rain! - 01/07/14
Temperatures reached all time record lows for ABIA (and much of the Nation) over the last 2 days. It's now time to get over it. It's movin' on outta here! The next system is currently lurking around the corner. We have clouds & rain popping up from California through Nevada, Utah & Arizona. This will be our next weather maker, combined with Gulf moisture & a Cold Front.
We'll begin to see drizzle popping up in our eastern zones by Wednesday with low clouds hanging around through the end of the week. The best chance for rain will hit us on Friday as an upper level cold front moves in from the Northwest. This system will help generate rain totals of about 0.25" - 1.00" across Central Texas.
In the meantime, temperatures will climb each and every day, warming into the 50s for the middle of the week...And eventually topping out in the 70s by Friday. Check the photos on the right for a details graphic.
