Last Week of Spring - 06/16/14
Let's hope we can get some rain out of the last official week of spring! The rain potential isn't great at all...but with about a 20% chance each day, I bet many of us see a few rain drops before the week is over.
We have a solid ridge of High Pressure sitting in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico. This will help enhance the sea breeze showers each day. This along with moisture filling in from the old Tropical Storm out in the eastern Pacific will help feed in some moisture. I think the best bet to see showers will be Wednesday but chances stay limited to 30%.
As we gear up for summer we're preparing for those hated 100 degree days. Long range models continue to suggest a dry, hot summer so let's take advantage of any rain we can get in the coming weeks.
Summer Solstice will arrive at 5:51 AM on Saturday June, 21st.
