ACL Live has added three headline concerts to its summer season in The Moody Theatre.  Tony Bennett plays the downtown venue on September 12, Pat Green will be in concert on August 24 and Chris Isaak returns to Austin for a concert stop on August 26.

Tony Bennett is not just "the singer’s singer" but also an international treasure honored by the United Nations with its "Citizen of the World" Award, which aptly describes the scope of his accomplishments.  With worldwide record sales in the millions, and dozens of platinum and gold albums to his credit, Bennett has received fifteen Grammy Awards - including the prestigious Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.

In 2009 he re-signed to Columbia Records, continuing his status as the artist signed for the greatest period of time in the label’s history.  He has placed two dozen songs in the Top 40, including his signature hit, “I Left My Heart In San Francisco” - which earned him two Grammy Awards.

Bennett is one of a handful of artists to have new albums chart in the 1950s, 60s, ’70s, 80s, 90s and into the new millennium.  He introduced a multitude of songs into the Great American Songbook that have since become pop music standards. He has toured the world to sold-out audiences, winning rave reviews whenever he performs.

Pat Green is simultaneously a Grammy-nominated hit maker with an outsider reputation, a Texas inspiration and a mainstream country artist who can rock arena and stadium stages with the best of them. A portion of the ticket proceeds will go to Austin-based non-profit Kids in a New Groove, which enriches and enhances the lives of foster children by nurturing their hearts and minds through music.

Green, United Heritage Credit Union and ACL Live are also partnering up to benefit Kids in a New Groove by hosting an instrument drive. Community members can donate a new or slightly used instrument at Strait Music Locations through Thursday, August 23, or at the venue on the day of show on August 24.

Fresh off of his spring PBS taping at ACL Live at the Moody Theater, Chris Isaak is back in Austin for another concert evening.  Just three months after his last Austin concert, the live set celebrates his return to the venue following his February taping of Beyond the Sun and his greatest hits.

As a child spinning his parents' 45s in their Stockton, California home, Issak has been obsessed with the glory days of Memphis’ Sun Studio and the visionary artists who got their starts there - including Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis.  Isaak has acted on this lifelong obsession, recapturing the transformative hep-cat sound of the classic sides cut by the great artist at Sun Records.

ACL Live is located at 310 W. Willie Nelson Blvd - on the corner of Guadalupe and W. 3rd - next door to The W Hotel.  Tickets for all three concert events are on sale at the ACL Live box office, in store at Waterloo Records, by phone at 877-4-FLYTIX and online at www.ACL-Live.com.
