Different Stages Sleuths With Agatha Christie's Murder on the Nile

Different Stages continues their 2011-12 Season with one of Dame Agatha’s most popular mysteries - Murder on the Nile.  Performances will run April 13 through May 5 at The City Theatre.

Simon Mostyn has recently married the beautiful, wealthy Kay Ridgeway, having thrown over his former lover Jacqueline.  Joining the couple on their honeymoon aboard a paddle steamer on the Nile are Kay's guardian and the jilted Jacqueline - who has been stalking the couple all through the honeymoon.

Also on the boat are a rich, ill-tempered woman and her niece, a rather direct young man, a doctor who nurses a grudge against Kay's father, and Kay's maid.  Throw in Belgian detective Hercule Poirot and the voyage becomes a classic who-dun-it.

Directed by Norman Blumensaadt, the production is led Joe Hartman (Too Many Husbands) as "Simon," Carrie Stephens (The Night of the Iguana) as "Kay Ridgeway" and Martina Ohlhauser (Too Many Husbands) as "Jacqueline."  The cast also features Don Owen (Our Town), Susan Roberts (Humble Boy), Lainey Murphy (Peer Gynt), Steven Fay (Getting Married), Christl Climans (Planet of the Mermaids) Craig Kanne and Wade Russell.

Performances will run Thursdays through Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m.  Tickets are "Pick Your Price" at $15, $20, $25 and $30.

The City Theater is located at 3823 Airport, Suite D, on the east corner of Airport Blvd. and 38 ½ Street.  For tickets and information, visit www.main.org/diffstages.
