Experience Titanic 100 Years Later At Houston Exhibition

Updated: Tuesday, April 10 2012, 05:34 PM CDT
100 years ago today, the Titanic set sail. April 10, 1912, she began her maiden voyage from England to New York. But, five days was all it took for the ship to become one of the most iconic images of the modern age. Now Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition is giving you a chance to take a voyage back to that time at the Houston Museum of Natural Science.

The Titanic's compelling human stories are told through authentic artifacts and exacting re-creations of the Ship's interior. Delicate bottles of perfume, china bearing the logo of the White Star Line, and many other objects collected from the wreck site offer poignant connections to lives abruptly ended or forever changed by one of the world's greatest maritime tragedies. Educational, emotional, and appropriate for all ages, Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition takes visitors on a journey through the life of Titanic, paying homage to the indomitable force of the human spirit in the face of tragedy.
