APD: People Targeted After Downtown Bars Close

Police say Downtown Austin bar patrons are being targeted as they walk to their cars and robbed at gunpoint.

Investigators say they're looking for 1-3 suspects, all black males in their 20s or 30s.

A suspect in a surveillance video and in the attached sketch is described as a black male in his 20s or 30s, approximately 6' to 6'4" tall, weighing 180-190 lbs. He has a gold right front tooth and has long dread locks.

The suspect is believed to be driving a dark 4-door mid/compact car, mid to late 2000s model.

These cases remain under investigation. Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to call Detective Carlos Vallejo at 512-974-6657 or the Robbery Unit at 512-974-5270.
