Man Hopes Sign Will Help Recover Stolen Goods

Updated: Saturday, August 3 2013, 04:08 PM CDT

A North Austin man is hoping some D.I.Y. advertising will help him recover his stolen computer.

He put a sign in his front yard explaining his dilemma. Someone stole his laptop that has years’ worth of design work crucial to his livelihood. It also has family photos and information to pay his bills.

The sign says the owner will pay $500 to get it back. No questions asked.

To add a stick to the carrot, the sign also offers a $2,500 to anyone who turns the thief in to police.
