Investigators say officers responding to a nature unknown urgent call at around 9:30 p.m. at a home in the 600 block of Swanson Cove -- just north of Slaughter Lane and east of South 1st Street -- found 34-year-old Felix Quintanilla lying on the ground with an apparent gunshot wound.

Quintanilla was transported to the University Medical Center Brackenridge where he died from his injuries Saturday afternoon.

The incident was ruled a homicide by the Travis County Medical Examiner's Office, police say.
