Round Rock Outlet Store Employee Accused of Videotaping Woman

Updated: Thursday, November 7 2013, 05:33 PM CST

An employee at the Round Rock Outlet mall is accused of using a cell phone to peep on customers in a dressing room.

According to police, on Nov. 4 a female customer at the Nike outlet store was using the dressing room when she noticed a cell phone on the top ledge. She checked it out and discovered that it was recording video.

Investigators say she told management and called police. The woman's father held the cell phone until they arrived.

Police say employee Andrew Calzada, 20, admitted to leaving the cell phone in the dressing room.

He is charged with improper photography.

Round Rock Police Commander Alain Babin says, "The investigation is ongoing to see if we have any other victims involved."

Police say there have been similar cases across the country. So how do you protect yourself?

"You need to be vigilant, when you go into a place that you're not familiar with such as a changing room in a store, you need to look around and see if there's something that looks out of place," Babin says.

Police say if you do see anything that looks out of place, you should report it to the store manager immediately.
