Fredericksburg Food & Wine Fest
One of the best ways to learn about Texas food and wine is to immerse oneself in it. That is one of the goals of the annual Fredericksburg Food and Wine Fest, celebrating its 22nd Anniversary Saturday, October 27, 2012. Culinary tourism continues to grow in popularity, and our fest offers a great one-stop experience. The Fredericksburg Food and Wine Fest features the best of Texas wines, food, and entertainment. Texas Specialty booths and Texas wineries vie for attention from discriminating gourmets and oenophiles, as well as novice foodies. All fest activities are located on Fredericksburgs beautiful downtown MarktPlatz (Market Square).

During the festival, youll find a variety of entertainment, food and fun on the Marktplatz. 28 Texas wineries and 50 Texas-made specialty food participants are anticipated.  Texas gourmet chefs demonstrating culinary talents at the Grape Expectations Cooking School sessions, Gargantuan Great Grape Toss, wonderful silent auction, art and lively entertainment.  Plus three special events:  Thursday a Locavore event at Messina Hof Hill Country Winery; Friday a Celebration of Texas Food & Wine and Saturday a Patron Brunch on Marktplatz " both offering incredible foods paired with tasty Texas wines.  The special events are limited seating with advance ticket sales only.  Please visit the website for more detailed information.

Held in downtown Fredericksburg, Texas, on Marktplatz (the 100 block of West Main Street). It is a full-course celebration of Texas food, wine, music, specialty booths, food court, and fun for all.
