Bastrop Main Street
The Bastrop Main Street Program is downtown revitalization within the context of historic preservation. Our program focuses efforts on economic development and historic preservation projects in the downtown core of the community. Bastrops Main Street Program area is comprised of 62 blocks centered on the axis of Main & Chestnut Streets.
The mission of the Bastrop Main Street Program (BMSP) is to revitalize our historic downtown, to positively impact its economic and social health, and to preserve our heritage and promote our future by effectively using community and personal resources within the Four Points approach of organization, design, economic restructuring and promotions.
A dramatic revitalization is happening in downtown Bastrop. It's an ongoing process and one that is exciting to watch-each change and each improvement destined to be a part of future generations...all sharing this terrific downtown!
Bastrop Main Street Programs vision is the continuing revitalization of our historic downtown, the heart of the Lost Pines, where family, friends and visitors live, work and enjoy our rich heritage.
