Multiple Big Events To Snarl Downtown Traffic This Weekend

Updated: Thursday, November 14 2013, 01:57 PM CST

On top of Formula One and Fan Fest, there's a University of Texas home game this weekend -- so it goes without saying, Austin traffic will be extremely congested.

Barricades are already up all over Downtown Austin for Fan Fest, which spans between 2nd and 5th streets, and San Antonio Street to Congress Avenue.

There's also a shuttle drop off and pick up point on Trinity Street, between Cesar Chavez and 4th streets.

Parking will be one of the biggest challenges. You can find the garages the city recommends to park in highlighted in orange on this map:

That map also includes the roads that are closed downtown and the routes to the Circuit of the Americas where the race is taking place.
