Human Skull Donated To Goodwill In Austin

It's not your everyday donation but it's a talker.
"Holy smokes. Was it with skin on it and stuff," asked customer Sandra McQuade.
No skin, just bone.
"The skull made it to us and we're the Halloween headquarters so it's a natural fit," said Senior Vice President of Community Engagement Traci Berry.
But before the skull can make it on to the store shelf in time for trick or treat, detectives want to know where it came from.
"We don't think there's any kind of criminal activity that's involved in this. We believe it belonged to the person who donated it," said Austin Police Detective Derek Israel.
An employee found the human remains while sorting through donations at the Goodwill store off north Lamar Boulevard in Austin.
"People donate all sorts of things to Goodwill, prosthetic limbs, prosthetic breasts, ashes, it's a collector's paradise," added Berry.
And fascinated customers like McQuade think Goodwill Industries should cash-in on the morbid merchandise.
"I think they should just be happy put it in the auction and get some money for it," added McQuade.
Anyone with information on the skull is asked to call the Austin Police Homicide Unit.
