Team Rubicon is used to marshaling veterans to help immediately after a natural disaster.  This time they re uniting to help a fellow Central Texas vet who returned from Afghanistan to find his house had been vandalized and was unlivable.   They ve got the volunteers to do it.   If you would like to help them with expenses, follow the link below.

Damon Waitt from the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center taught us all about the efforts to bring back the pine trees lost to the 2011 wildfires in Bastrop County.  They ll be plant 1.5-million seedlings grown from seed that was cultivated from the same area before the fires.
