Fridays With Uncle Fred 5/03/2013

Updated: Saturday, August 3 2013, 04:08 PM CDT

We started off the morning chatting about a couple of fun weekend events.  You might want to head up I-35 to the Central Texas Air Show today and Saturday, May 3 & 4, in Temple.  You’ll see a lot of vintage aircraft and also modern aerobatics.  And it’s also Cinco de Mayo weekend at Fiesta Gardens.  The festival headliner Saturday is Tejano legend Gary Hobbs.

Roger Heaney from the city of Round Rock said there’s still room for your family in the 3rd annual MudQuest Family Adventure this Saturday May 4 at Old Settlers Park.  It’s exactly what it sounds like.  Get ready to get muddy.

John Haddad and Veronica push invited us to the Spring edition of the Old Pecan Street Festival.  Saturday and Sunday May 4 & 5, Sixth Street will be closed to cars but open to pedestrians and their dogs to enjoy street vendors and lots of live music.  It’s Free.

Mikaila came to promote her participation in Lemonade Day Austin.  Lemonade is an early introduction to entrepreneurship.  Mikaila is 8-years-old and the owner of Bee Sweet Lemonade.  She’ll be selling her wares at East Side Pies on Rosewood this Sunday, May 5, from 2:30-4:30pm.
