This morning we broadcast our segments al fresco from the patio of the new Taco Shack on 620 at Lake Creek Parkway.

Erica Muñoz from Austin Community College reminded us that ACC has a huge number of certificate programs to help laid off workers reinvent themselves and begin a new career.  And you can be trained in some careers in as little as a year.  for information on their certificate programs call 512-223-7704 or email quickcareers@austincc.edu

Scott Crews from Make-A-Wish stopped by to talk with us about the "Over the Edge" event they have going on at One American Center.  More than 200 people raised $1,500 apiece for the privilege of rappeling down the side of the building.  All of the proceeds help Make-A-Wish fullfil the dreams of a lot of very special children here in Central Texas. Learn more about their programs at http://ctx.wish.org

We wrapped up talking about Sebastien De La Cruz, the 11-year-old singing sensation from San Antonio.  He was invited back for an encore performance of the National Anthem after his first go-round generated a firestorm of controversy.  Some folks on Twitter criticized him for appearing in his traditional mariachi outfit, which may be the most formal attire that he owns.  He is a mariachi singer.  The tide has turned and folks are cheering on the young singer.  You can see viewer comments on our facebook page: http://facebook.com/keyetv
