March 1: Fridays With Uncle Fred

We had a cast of thousands on from “Staple! The independent Media Expo.”  We’re talking comics and much more including animation, gaming and pop culture.  It’s happening Saturday 3/02 and Sunday 3/03 at the Marchesa Hall & Theater, 6406 North I-35.

Amy Randolph spoke with us about her Quiller app for people keeping journals.  Quiller uses prompts, tags and other methods to help you get past that writer’s block and streamline the journal-keeping process.

Patsy Woods Martin, founder of I Live Here, I Give Here gave us a heads-up of a special event aimed at raising a million dollars for local non-profits in just 24-hours.  The event is called Amplify ATX.  You can go online to donate and to fundraise for the charities of your choice.

And James Lindley from the Pioneer Museum invited us to bring the kids to Pioneer Museum in Fredericksburg over Spring Break.  They’re scheduling activities and exhibits to bring history alive.
