Nov. 16: Fridays With Uncle Fred

#1  H-E-B's 23rd Annual Feast of Sharing is coming up Tuesday.  They'll be serving 14,000 meals and they need volunteers.  To volunteer follow the link below.

#2.  Hundreds of thousands of people will be at Formula 1 and that means a lot of people using their cell phones.  To make sure your cell phone battery lasts you all day, turn off bluetooth and wi-fi unless you're actually using them.  Also turn off any unnecessary apps.  And text instead of calling.  They're quicker and use less battery than making a phone call.

#3.  We also chatted about the modern day secessionist movement.  Some feel they have much right to secede as the American colonists did when they rebelled against England.  Others say they need to re-read their history.  Everyone has an opinion on this topic.

#4  Hostess Foods announced its shutting down and liquidating after their baker's union rejected their final offer.  Teamster had warned the bakers that the company was not bluffing and urged them to accept the offer.  The bakers voted otherwise in a voice vote.
