We took Fridays with Uncle Fred on the road this week to check out Black Friday at Round Rock Premium Outlet.
It was quiter than expected thanks to several major stores jumping the gun and opening for business Thursday night instead of Friday morning.
One shopper told us she came shopping after UT's loss to TCU and felt better for it.
A young couple told us they woke up in the middle of the night and decided to go shopping since they knew the stores were open.
And several families told us they had made the early Friday morning shopping spree part of their Thanksgiving weekend tradition.
A highlight for many shoppers this time was the free food our sponsor Taco Shack provided during our early morning broadcast.
