Oct. 19: Fridays With Uncle Fred

Filmmaker Don Swaymos dropped by to talk about his debut feature film, "Pictures of Superheroes."  It was filmed here in Austin using local actors and improv comedians.  It's playing at the Austin Film Festival this Saturday at 3:45pm at the Alamo Draft House Ritz and Thursday at 7:00pm at the Bob Bullock Museum Spirit Theater.

David Lauderback, PhD, from the History Department at Austin Community College dropped by to talk about the debates and the polls.  He said at this point the debates are all about reenergizing the base at we draw closer to the Nov. 6 elections.

And Jarrett Crippen talked about Scare for a Cure.  It's a haunted ghost town experience that benefits the Breast Cancer Research Center.  They're open Oct 18-20, 25-29 and of course Halloween Oct. 31.
