Seton Williamson Closing OB-GYN And Neonatal Units

Tonight more local healthcare facilities are closing their doors, leaving patients with fewer options.

Williamson Seton Hospital will be shutting down the OB/GYN and neonatal unit in two weeks.

A spokesperson for the hospital stated that all employees will be reassigned to other local units or sent to other Seton hospitals around central Texas.

This comes after Lone Star Circle of Care in Georgetown, which partners with Seton, also closed their OB/GYN clinic and laid off a total of 185 employees since the beginning of the month.

A Seton spokesperson stated the OB/GYN unit will be closed temporarily but could not give an indication about how long.
