Airing Dallas Cowboys vs Houston Texans Game
While most Cowboys games go to Fox, this is one of only a few that CBS is allowed to carry and CBS has assigned us the Cowboys game. While we agree, the Texans are playing phenomenally this season (and last for that matter), CBS typically assigns the Dallas game to most Texas stations when they have both games available to them. From CBS' viewpoint, it wants to air the game that will have the highest viewership and even in Austin, that would be the Dallas game. When the Cowboys and Texans go head to head, the Cowboys pull twice the audience that the Texans do.
We feel your frustration, but hopefully the explanation as to why we are airing Dallas helps a little.
