ATX Festival Celebrates Television This Weekend

Updated: Saturday, August 3 2013, 04:12 PM CDT

The ATX Television Festival is back for the people who love television, and isn’t that all of us?

Whether a series lasts 10 episodes or 10 years, it may establish a long-standing community of followers. ATX Television Festival celebrates television creating opportunities for fans and industry to come together to watch and discuss the series they love by taking the “water cooler” conversation public.

Screenings at the festival will span classic shows, never aired pilots, cancelled too soon series, cult favorites, current hits, and premieres of new series.  Many are followed by cast and crew Q&A’s.  There will also be a variety of panels on industry topics.

Co-founders Caitlin McFarland and Emily Gipson tell us this year there will be ways for people who don't have badges to get in on the action. For each of the screenings at the State Theater, non-badge holders can RSVP and if there are seats after the badge holders have been seated, they will be able to attend for free. This includes the Boy Meets World Screening and a panel with the attending cast of Friday Night Lights! You can click to see all of the free events and RSVP for these events here and watch the ATX Television Festival “Sizzle Reel” here.
