Austin To Celebrate Diez y Seis At The MACC

The City of Austin’s official Diez y Seis celebration will take place Saturday, September 15 at the Emma Barrientos Mexican American Cultural Center located at 600 River Street.  The center will spotlight an exhibit by sculptor Jose Antonio Garcia Guerra from our sister city of Saltillo, Coahuila.  The entertainment for the Fiesta will begin at 6 PM, with Charros from the Asociacion de Charros El Herradero y Escaramuza El Rosario, music by Mariachi Tamazula, singer Ernesto Cadena Segovia from Saltillo, the South Texas College Ballet Folklorico, and closing with Mariachi Nueva Generacion from Texas State University.  No parking will be available at the MACC.  A free shuttle will run every 20 minutes from free parking at One Texas Center, located at South 1st and Barton Springs Road.
