Austin Celebrates All Things Ice Cream

It's back by popular demand: The Austin Ice Festival is this Saturday from 10:00am to 7:00pm at Fiesta Gardens. All manner of local ice cream vendors will be there. There will also be an ice cream making contest, an ice creaming eating contest and a Popsicle stick sculpture contest. Also look for unique ice cream creations. This is the sixth year for the Austin Ice Cream Festival. It's a big deal that attracts thousands of local families as well as national attention from cable cooking, travel and pop culture programs.
