Deceased Fast And Furious Star To Be In Next Movie

Updated: Monday, December 23 2013, 07:57 AM CST

The fiery crash that took the life of 40-year-old Paul Walker on November 30 still has family, friends and fans mourning.

For a month, Universal halted production on Fast And Furious 7 so the cast could cope, while filmmakers could determine how the movie needed to be changed to accommodate the loss of one of their leading actors.

Now this morning we can confirm Walker will remain in the film.

The script has been re-written with hopes of using existing shots to retire Walker's character.

Leading actor Vin Diesel has taken to his Facebook page to tell his fans the movie will now be released in April 10, 2015 instead of July 11, 2014.

This isn't the first time a film has been released after a main actor has died.

Heath Ledger as “The Joker” in The Dark Knight died shortly before the movie made it to the big screen.

James Gandolfini made his last performance in “Enough Said” posthumous.
