Floats Arrive And Get Assembled For Chuy's Parade

Updated: Wednesday, November 27 2013, 08:42 AM CST

Chuy's Children Giving to Children Parade is right around the corner and floats have just arrived from Indianapolis. Float builders have been working at rapid speeds to get the sponsored floats assembled, including a KEYE TV float that has the Austin skyline displayed.

It's so exciting to see the preparations underway at the CEVA warehouse on Riverside Drive. Volunteers have been working all year long to organize this parade. Brooke Cox, parade organizer, says in addition to the sponsored floats there will be 90 plus community floats and 13,000 cubic feet of helium. 850 volunteers will also be on hand to make sure the event runs smoothly.

The Chuy's Children Giving Children Parade is always a spectacular family friendly event sponsored by KEYE TV. The parade starts at 11:00 am at 11th and Congress Avenue. If you can't make it you can watch it live on KEYE TV or keyetv.com.

The parade benefits Blue Santa. Those who attend are asked to bring a Christmas present to donate to children in need. Click here for more information on how you can donate.
