France Proposing No Homework At Home

Updated: Thursday, October 18 2012, 05:42 PM CDT
No homework EVER! Sounds like the platform a high school student running for student council would promise, but this proposal is coming from French President Francois Hollande who has said, "Work should be done at school, rather than at home", according to TIME.com.

Hollande has pledged to make education a top priority, and dropping homework from a student's everyday schedule is just one of the changes he's recommending in an effort to revitalize France’s school system. Officials say the proposal is meant to reflect the fact the lowest-performing students lack a positive support environment at home.
