Facebook has figured out a way to get some money directly from its users.  It believes you will pay $2 a month to have your posts show up higher in your friends Facebook.  This is similar to the way Google charges to have advertisers show up higher in search results.

Russian scientists have turned the globe into a wonderful world of color.  They used different light wave combinations to create a detailed color code of what's on the earth's surface.  This is not really what the earth looks like, but gives scientists a lot more detail about what's on the surface.

CNET is reporting that Windows 8 tablets and PCs will hit store shelves in November.  And in advance of that-- this Summer Microsoft will be providing free upgrade coupons with all new Windows 7 PCs.  So you can still buy your new computer-- and get the latest operating system when it comes out later this year.

And—satellite provider Dish Network says its new Auto Hop feature can automatically skip the commercials in the prime time shows you record.  Dish Network says it isn't deleting the commercials—which would violate its contract with the networks—it’s just skipping past them.
