High Tech Headlinesa: Apple To Announce New OS, G4 To Countdown Top 100 Video Games

You may find out soon how long it will be before your Apple iPad or iPhone needs an upgrade.  Apple's annual conference for software developers kicks off today, and they're expected to announce details on the new iOS6 to power your Apple iPhone, iPad and iTouch.   We won't know until later when the new operating system will be released to consumers or what new features it may have.  Usually a new OS becomes available around the time a new iPhone model appears.  Apple-watchers expect that to happen this fall, with the release of the iPhone 5.

This week G4, cable TV's channel for gamers, begins a five-night-long countdown of the top 100 video games of all time.  Even if you're not into gaming, you're probably familiar with at least one of the top games on the list.  Blair Herter, one of the hosts says, “The reason video games are in houses is because of a game called pong.  So I don't think it's giving anything away to say that pong has to be on this list."
   
The top 100 video game countdown begins tonight and runs through Friday on G4.
