Lunch Room Month Marks Changes

It doesn't appear on a lot of calendars, but back in 1962 Congress decided there should be an annual National Lunch Room Week. Ever since, it's been the week that begins with the second Sunday in October.
This year school lunch rooms are a bit different thanks to mandates from the Feds. Healthy choices are more prevalent, some portions are smaller and the meals' total calorie total has been reduced. AISD says students here won't notice too many changes. They had already made many health-conscious changes before they were mandated.
