Staple Independent Media Expo Showcases One-Of-A-Kind Comics

Updated: Tuesday, February 25 2014, 07:24 AM CST

The underdogs of media will have the chance to shine once again at the 10th annual Staple Independent Media Expo. Event founder, Chris Nicholas, a.k.a. Uncle Staple, has been brining together comic enthusiasts and game wizards for a decade now, giving these fairly unknown talented artists an outlet to showcase and sell their work.

The public can expect cartoon drawing demonstrations, a how to build your own comic book seminar for kids and even a formal instruction on light sabering.

Jeremy the Artist is a cartoonist who will be on the expo's panel discussion for web comics. He says the expo is a chance for the public to see one-of-a-kind comics in print and web versions.

The Staple Media Expo will be held Saturday, March 1 from 11:00am-6:00pm and Sunday, March 2, Noon-6:00pm at the Marchesa Hall and Theatre. Tickets are $15 for a two day pass and $10 for one day. Kids under 12 get in for free.
