World Touring Young Africans Choir Performs In Austin

Updated: Thursday, February 20 2014, 11:39 AM CST

A world traveling choir, like you've never seen before, is in Austin performing for one night only.

The Young Africans Choir is touring the United States to raise money for college tuition. The singers range from 19-22 years old and are former members of the African Children's Choir and have been singing with the group since they were 7 years old.

This inspiring group of young adults has been through unimaginable life tribulations, losing parents to war, famine or disease.

Sunday, February 23 at 7:00 pm, they'll perform traditional African tunes at Bethany United Methodist Church on Anderson Mill Road. The concert is free and open to the public.

Any donations will go to support African Children's Choir programs for education, care and relief and development programs.
