Greg Abbott Goes On Texas Main Street Tour

Updated: Saturday, August 3 2013, 05:15 PM CDT

Texas gubernatorial candidate -- and current attorney general -- Greg Abbott spoke to a crowd of dozens at Sholz Garden in Downtown Austin Thursday.

We sat down with the Attorney General Abbott to talk to him about what he plans to do if elected governor.

He says his number one concern is creating jobs. Then border control.

"The second, frankly, is the concern about spill over violence from across the border. I was down in McAllen and they are very concerned about it like people in Austin and North Texas are," Abbott says.

Abbott also mentioned the need to improve education in the state.
