Military Children Get Toys From Central Texas Group
Updated: Tuesday, December 18 2012, 04:02 PM CST
A local group is making sure Christmas is merry for some local military families.
"Just Because Ministries of Hope" filled several military trucks with toys.
Saturday soldiers from Fort Hood drove to Hernandez Middle School in Round Rock to pick them up.
"We're going to take the trucks back to Fort Hood and Monday morning we're going to get he soldiers together that these are going to and make sure that they get to these young soldiers families," Sgt. Major Dennis Guthrie said.
Guthrie says a lot of the soldiers are young, single parents and sometimes have two or three kids. This donation helps them put presents under the tree.
