2 Killed In Fayette Co. Crash

Updated: Monday, June 2 2014, 04:25 PM CDT

Two people were killed Saturday and seven were injured after a pick-up truck rolled over multiple times in Fayette County, investigators say.

Officials with the Texas Department of Public Safety say it happened at around 2:05 p.m. on FM 1295, two miles south of Praha in Fayette County.

Investigators say a pick-up truck traveling northbound ran off the road and overcorrected, which caused it to roll multiple times.

Twenty-two people in the bed of the Chevy 2500 pick-up truck were ejected, DPS officials say.

The truck was the only vehicle involved in the crash.

Elias Chamale, from Guatemala, was declared dead at the scene. Another unidentified person from Guatemala died Sunday night, investigators say.
