Benefit Held to Raise Money for Kenneth Johnson

Updated: Monday, August 4 2014, 05:16 PM CDT
Everyone who knows him knows Kenneth Johnson's favorite place is on stage with his band.

But Sunday night it was his friends that were on stage at Red Eyed Fly trying to raise money for Johnson.

"So many bands he's played and so much music he's given the people," Johnson's brother, Jeremy White said.

Johnson may never play again his family says he's lying in a hospital bed partially paralyzed.

Police say someone threw a softball size rock off the I-35 over pass, it hit Johnson's car severely injuring him.

"It's real disheartening to know there's people out there who have no regard for human life and it's hard to make sense of," Johnson's roommate John Petri said.

Police say whoever threw the rock has hit 4 cars so far since June, and is still on the loose.

"They have to be caught this is putting the whole city in danger," Petri said.

Jeremy White says his brother Kenneth's life is changed forever.

”He'll probably never play the guitar again and if you've been out to see my brother he's a great bass player and a great guitarist," White said.
