Both Terror Suspects Lived in Round Rock

Michael Wolfe grew up in a neighborhood off South Mays Street in Round Rock.  Several neighbors we spoke to knew him and one of them told us off camera she wasn't surprised at his arrest.  That's because she'd heard Wolfe was on a terror watch list.

Wolfe's criminal record shows he lived in this area while he was a student at Round Rock High School.

A family member told us he converted to Islam about three years ago.  They don't believe the allegations, saying Wolfe is a good dad.

A check of his background shows several misdemeanor charges including theft, and drug possession.

Tim Flannigan just moved into the neighborhood and says he recently noticed police activity at the home.

"I seen some police cars pull up across the street like several of them all at once."

Flannigan doesn't know if that was related to any alleged terrorism

Seven miles across town, "I saw the SWAT team get out with their guns loaded and I heard two loud booms" is what a man who lives in the Teravista community recalls hearing.  He watched as federal authorities arrested Rahatul Khan.  "They brought him out and they handcuffed him and took him away" he continued.

We know Khan went to McNeil High School in Round Rock.  The 23-year old was also a student at the University of Texas. Both men also had ties to the North Austin Muslim Community Center.  Khan attended prayer service there.  Wolfe was married there.
