Driveway Austin shares tips and advice on staying safe behind the wheel

Many drivers know that texting while driving is dangerous, but one of the top-ranked tactical driving schools in the country, Driveway Austin, breaks down all of the other dangers that lurk in your car.

Beaded necklaces hanging from your rear view mirror, pens moving around in your door compartment, a GPS on the windshield, and files on your dashboard are all examples of distractions that could lead to a wreck. President Bill Dollahite says everyone should take five minutes to inspect their car before hitting the roads.

Other tips he suggested is holding the wheel at nine and three, keeping eyes focused in the direction you want your car to turn.

Driveway Austin also offers classes and camps for both adults and teens. Check them out right here.
