Marijuana Smokers Using New E-Cigarettes to Smoke Stronger Form of Drug

Updated: Saturday, August 2 2014, 08:53 PM CDT
(WBFF) Electronic cigarettes have become a billion dollar industry and now there is a new line of e-cigarettes on the market that targets marijuana users.

The e-cigarette has been credited for helping smokers wean off traditional cigarettes; now marijuana users are using a device of their own to smoke without any actual smoke or smell.

When marijuana is loaded into these new devices, it takes seconds for it to be burned and vaporized. It is a higher content form of the drug.

Drug expert, Mike Gimbel, purchased the device, called Pax, in Ocean City. He is concerned about the escalation of the marijuana industry.

"We're ending up with a super pot and gadgets which you can hide at work and walk down the street and it doesn't create the odor or smoking marijuana. So now you're smoking something stronger and getting higher," Gimble says, "what happens when you're driving? What happens when you're at work?"

But the demand is great for these devices; especially among cancer patients who say they the vaporized pot has healing power. Marijuana Smokers Using New E-Cigarettes to Smoke Stronger Form of Drug
