New Allegations Against Former AISD Teacher

Updated: Wednesday, June 18 2014, 12:18 PM CDT
There are four new sexual allegations against a former AISD teacher. Those allegations just came out Tuesday night.  AISD police arrested Alfredo Andrade Gayton Friday after he reportedly admitted to molesting a six year old girl.

It's one of parents' worst fears and it's also what brought Amber Johnson to Walnut Creek Elementary school for a meeting with AISD leaders.  She says she wanted "to protect my kids, I needed to know exactly who this was."

She's referring to Gayton.  He's accused of molesting a six year old girl while he taught summer school at Reilly elementary.  Gayton normally used to teach at Walnut Creek where Johnson's son attends.  He's the same age as the victim.

"It's worrisome to know this person was in the school district all this time.  He's been here since 2005, and he's had access to all these children" Johnson continued.
Tuesday night, AISD Captain Christian Evoy says some of those children have come forward.  "We have received four new allegations that we're currently investigating."  Police won't release the ages, gender and details of the new allegations.  They are from four different people at Walnut Creek.

Meanwhile, we're learning more about Gayton's teaching background.

Aside from Walnut Creek and Reilly, he also taught at Linder, Read and McBee elementary schools.

Captain Evoy says all parents should be vigilant to watch for signs that their child could be a victim.  "Your child is acting peculiar, they don't want to go to school, please inform someone… report it!"

Gayton has not been charged based on these new allegations as police are still investigating.

We'll follow this story and if he does get any new charges, count on us to bring them to you.
