Pflugerville Water Park Expands

Updated: Wednesday, August 6 2014, 03:40 PM CDT

It's full speed ahead for a Pflugerville attraction that many are hoping will help drive future economic growth.

On Tuesday, Hawaiian Falls opened its second major section -- a dry land version of its water park.

The complex has had several set-backs due to weather. As you remember, the water park opened a few weeks late.

Hawaiian Falls CEO Dave Bush says while they didn't sell as many season passes as they expected, they exceeded their daily pass sales.

"Now that we're open, it's kind of a show me situation, now that people see we're real, this is a great family park, we expect our seasons passes to increase next year," he says.

The company is hoping the brand new, year-round adventure park will keep the registers ringing.
