Preliminary Autopsy Results Released By Family Of Michael Brown

Updated: Monday, August 18 2014, 02:04 PM CDT
(CNN)-- Preliminary results of an independent autopsy on Michale Brown have been made public by his family's attorney.

Brown was shot to death by a police officer in Ferguson, Missouri on August 9th.

A family attorney said the autopsy found Brown was shot twice in the head and four times in the right arm.

The attorney said all shots hit brown in the front of his body. One bullet entered the top of Brown's skull, suggesting his head was bent forward when he was struck.

The family's autopsy found no gunpowder residue on the body, meaning the shots were not fired from close range.

An autopsy by the St. Louis County Police Department found the 18-year-old died of gunshot wounds, but didn't provide other details.

Pathologist Michael Baden performed the independent autopsy for Michael Brown's family.

He's been involved in other high-profile murder cases, including the OJ Simpson, Phil Spector, and Drew Peterson murder trials.Preliminary Autopsy Results Released By Family Of Michael Brown
