Round Rock Express Hosts First Fan Sleepover

Updated: Wednesday, June 25 2014, 10:25 AM CDT

Baseball fans sleep on the field, under the stars at first-ever Round Rock Express fan sleepover event

It was an exciting night at the Dell Diamond for Round Rock Express fans: the team beat the Fresno Grizzlies and afterwards about 200 fans stayed for the first-ever fan sleepover event.

Families spent quality time playing basketball, jumping on the trampoline, rock climbing, bungee jumping, and movie-watching on the field's video board.

In the past, the team has held sleepover events for local Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts, which has become increasingly popular, but this was the first sleep over exclusively for fans.

And if you missed out on last night's fun, don't worry: general manager, Chris Almendarez, says they do plan on scheduling additional fan sleepovers. Stay tuned for a date.

Here is a list of other upcoming events:
June 26: National Pro Fastpitch
July 4 & 5: Red, White, & Blue Weekend
July 17: Military Appreciation Night
July 19: 80's Night/Spazmatics Concert
