Search for Missing Malaysian Airlines Flight Shifts Again

Updated: Monday, June 9 2014, 09:22 AM CDT

It looks like the search area for Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 is about to shift, again.

Investigators have revised some of their basic calculations about the jet, which has now been missing for three months.

Officials say the shift reflects uncertainties about the plane's exact speed, flight path and altitude.

The new zone could be revealed in the next few weeks, but the search probably won't start until later this summer.

Investigators say two communications systems were shut off shortly after the flight took off March 8. There were 239 people on board, including the flight crew.
