UPDATE: 2 Killed In Georgetown Crash Identified

Mon. 3:35 p.m. UPDATE: Police have identified the two men killed in the crash as Anibal Rodriguez, 19, from Seattle, Washington and Ricardo Gonzales, 24, from Dolores Hidalgo in Guanajuato, Mexico

Police say the crash is still under investigation. No charges have been filed at this time.



Two people are dead Saturday as a result of a collision in Georgetown.

According to the Georgetown Police Department, at approximately 9 a.m. Saturday morning, a Chevy pickup traveling southbound on County Road 143 proceeded through a red light at Texas 195. A Ford pickup traveling eastbound on Texas 195 crashed into the Chevy at the intersection.

One of the five occupants of the Ford was killed on-scene. Two others were ejected. Four total patients were transported to Seton Medical Center Williamson.

The passenger in the Chevy was killed at the scene and the driver was transported to SMCW as well.

Four of the patients transported are listed in stable condition. One is in critical condition at this time.

Georgetown Police and Fire responded to this incident, as well as Williamson County EMS.
