Vintage Warplanes On Display At ABIA

Updated: Saturday, July 5 2014, 08:15 PM CDT

Vintage war birds fly high over Austin’s airport.

Three completely restored planes that saw action in World War II are providing a blast from the past.

The fleet includes a B-25 bomber, an AC-47 Skytrain and a B-17 Flying Fortress.

They were restored by the Commemorative Air Force, a non-profit based out of Midland.

"There are no more of these airplanes being made, so what you see is what you get. It’s a step back in time. It’s a connection with our ancestors, if you will.”

There's still time to see the planes in person.

They'll be out at Atlantic Aviation, 3909 Emma Browning Avenue, at Austin’s airport through tomorrow.
